I chose to take this class because I love writing. Ever since I was little, it has always been my speciality. In kindergarten, if we had free time, you could find me writing a story. My former kindergarten teacher, to this day, asks me if I am still writing. In 3rd grade, our class had journaling time, in which throughout the course of the year I managed to fill up six notebooks, having only 15 minutes a day to write in them. I have always had  a passion for creating stories and expressing my ideas on paper. 

  My favorite writer is Christopher Knight. He wrote the book Pandemia, which changed my life when I was ten. I read for an entire day and stayed up almost an entire night to finish this story. It had me so drawn in, I felt almost sad when I was finished reading.  I read his book countless times. He writes children's books under the name Jonathan Rand, and adult books under the name Christopher Knight. After I read Pandemia, I made it my goal to read every book written for adults by him. So far, I am not disappointed.  

  I want to improve on writing stories that are more fictional. My comfort zone in writing is past experiences and realistic fiction. If I could master the skills to write stories that are a little crazier, I would be happy.

  My favorite thing about writing is the control that it gives you. When you are writing, you have total control how you sound, and how you get ideas across to an audience. My favorite thing about writing is that it gives you a sense of power and there are endless ways to create your ideas.
